New software release 2025H2

Software release 2025H2 news

Posted on December 2, 2025

Cadmatic 2025H2 was released on 2 December 2025, bringing a fresh wave of improvements designed to make your everyday work easier.

This release strengthens mobility, enhances collaboration, and streamlines key design tasks across the Cadmatic product family. No matter where you work or how complex your project is, 2025H2 helps you stay productive and in control.

Top Picks – what we are most excited about in 2025H1!

Outfitting/3D Plant Design

  • Piping specs automatically from CADMATIC Materials: Piping specifications from CADMATIC Materials now flow directly into Plant Design and Outfitting. Pipes, valves, fittings, and fasteners are transferred automatically based on pipeline properties – removing the need to set up specs manually and ensuring consistency across your design tools.
  • Advanced access control for smoother collaboration: Stay in full control of your project data. Decide exactly who sees what and keep sensitive layouts protected. With clear content categories and role-based visibility, subcontractors and parallel design teams can work in the same project space without exposing their designs or creating conflicting layouts.
  • Flexible model tree hierarchies: Get the view that fits your workflow. The model tree now supports multiple hierarchy types, whether you’re working with Hull WBD, document-based structures, or custom groupings across multiple levels.

P&ID

  • Intuitive sheet editor for smarter document layout: The new sheet style editor introduced for Plant Modeller in 2025H1 is now available for P&ID. It lets you configure P&ID document sheets with ease, supporting DWG blocks, images, QR codes, and revision tables as DWG table elements. You can easily map project or diagram attributes to ensure your exported sheets always show the correct block data.

Hull

  • Controlled plate thickness selection by material: Hull administrators can now define which thicknesses are valid for each material type. Instead of manually entering values, users select from a dropdown of approved thicknesses, which speeds up plate creation and reduces the risk of errors in the model.
  • AI-assisted bracket creation in Hull:
CADMATIC AI is now integrated into Hull! You can launch it directly from the main application to create and refine bracket geometry and update the project norms on the fly. Whether creating new bracket types or editing existing ones, the embedded assistant streamlines the entire process.

Information Management

  • eShare now available on iPad: Need to check project data on the move? In addition to Windows tablets, eShare can now be used directly in your iPad browser, offering a convenient option for mobile access to project information – no desktop required.
  • 4D and textured meshes in your browser: More visual power in your browser! You can now view 4D sequences and textured meshes in browser-based eShare. These features were previously limited to the Windows desktop app. It’s never been easier to access rich visual data wherever you are.

Electrical

  • Multi-storey layout documentation: You can now include multiple storeys in a single layout document. This reduces the number of documents needed and makes it easier to handle elevation markings, IFC export, and integrations in complex projects.

Draw

  • A fresh Start page for a smoother experience: The redesigned Start page brings a more modern look and feel – optimized for high-resolution displays. You’ll see image previews and metadata in your recent files list, and with the new Favorites tab, you can now pin frequently used files and folders for quick access to what matters most.
